Paddle Australia, in conjunction with the Queensland Academy of Sport (QAS), is seeking a Sprint Kayak Head Coach.
The role of the Head Coach will be to provide effective coaching, technical leadership and a quality performance environment to identified sprint kayak athletes within Queensland (QLD) and to develop talented sprint kayak athletes who demonstrate the performance characteristics to achieve future podium success.
The role will report to both Paddle Australia and the QAS with the successful individual working with Paddle Queensland as well as Paddle and Surf Life Saving Clubs and Coaches in QLD.
The QAS Sprint Kayak Head Coach will also work closely alongside the team at the National Centre of Excellence (NCE) on the Gold Coast.
The position provides a unique opportunity to lead a program to provide a pathway for emerging Queensland kayak athletes and oversee their development as they strive to compete at the highest level, including a home Olympic Games in Brisbane 2032.
Blue Card, full driving licence and first aid qualifications required. PA Coaching qualification strongly preferred.
