2023 Paddle Queensland Annual Awards, It’s time to celebrate!

On Saturday the 23rd September, Paddle Queensland will host the 2023 Annual Awards in Oxenford recognising and celebrating the outstanding achievements of the community and provide an opportunity to reflect on the year that was.

Paddle Queensland members can provide nominations showcasing their contribution to the paddling community deserving recognition over the period of 1 October 2022 – 30 June 2023 in the following categories:

  • Master Paddler of the Year
  • Open Paddler of the Year
  • Junior Paddler of the Year
  • Club Coach of the Year
  • Instructor/Guide of the Year
  • Volunteer of the Year
  • Club of the Year
  • Event of the Year
  • Photo of the Year
  • Video of the Year

Due to the nuances of each competitive discipline the Master, Open and Junior Paddler of the Year Awards, as well as the Club Coach of the Year Award will be expanded to recognise the outstanding achievements of both Male and Female paddlers and coaches across the disciplines of:

  • Canoe Ocean Racing
  • Canoe Sprint
  • Canoe Marathon
  • Canoe Polo
  • Paracanoe

The Paddler of the Year Awards will only be scored based on the validated results for each competitive discipline as per the awards matrix.

Paddlers can only submit one nomination per competitive discipline and can only nominate for a completive discipline if they have competed in that discipline.

The Paddle Queensland Awards Judging Panel will comprise of three judges and a Chair to determine the winners of the Awards in accordance with the Annual Awards Policy.
