Dear Sprint Athletes and Clubs,
Paddle Queensland is seeking expressions of interest from Queensland sprint athletes interested in attending the following events:
- NSW State Championships. 7–8 November, Sydney International Regatta Centre (SIRC), NSW
- Oceania Championships / Grand Prix 1. 3–6 December, West Lakes, SA
The EOI will help Paddle Queensland understand athlete interest and explore opportunities for coordinated team support, coaching, entries, equipment transport, boat access, travel and accommodation.
Athletes wishing to participate are asked to provide:
- Full name, club and age category
- Event or events they wish to attend
- Preferred race distances and boat classes
- Whether they require access to a team boat or equipment transport
- Whether a parent, guardian or club coach will also attend
- Any other support requirements
Paddle Queensland is also seeking volunteers who may be available to drive the PQ boat trailer to and/or from either event. If you can assist, please indicate:
- Which event you can support
- Whether you are available for the outbound journey, return journey or both
- Your departure location and preferred travel dates
- Whether you hold the appropriate driver’s licence and have experience towing a boat trailer
Please note that submitting an EOI does not confirm selection, entry or financial assistance. Further information will be provided once athlete numbers, transport needs and support requirements have been assessed.
Clubs are encouraged to share this invitation with eligible sprint athletes, coaches and potential volunteer drivers.
