Fraser Coast Paddlefest. Battle of the Paddle, Dash for Cash and the Hervey Bay Ocean Classic

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the return of the Fraser Coast Paddlefest taking place over Saturday the 9th and Sunday the 10th of September 2023 on the stunning waters of Hervey Bay.

Paddlefest is a truly unique event focused on the mental and physical benefits paddling provides the community. Saturday is focused on providing the Fraser Coast community with the opportunity to experience all the benefits paddling provides on two of the most popular types of crafts (ocean skis and SUPs) used by the paddlers across the world in the Battle of the Paddle.

For those new to paddling, our Battle of the Paddle events are the perfect place to bring your friends and family to the beach and experience all the fun and excitement paddling can provide over a 500 m ‘M’ shaped course on polyurethane ocean skis and inflatable SUPs.

Sunday sees ocean racing return to the Fraser Coast, with Race 4 of the Pacific Coast Ocean Racing Series the Hervey Bay Ocean Classic which will see paddlers take to the water from the Hervey Bay SLSC as they head towards Point Vernon before turning East and heading towards the Urangan Pier before they make their last turn back towards the surf club and the finish line. Prior to the Ocean Classic a 100 m Dash for Cash will run as a great warm up to the main event.
