PQ Canoe Sprint Championship and Schools Championship – Update

The Paddle Queensland Canoe Sprint and Schools Championships will take place at Lake Kawana on the Sunshine Coast on Saturday the 3rd and Sunday the 4th of December. Paddlers from eight to eighty (and beyond) have entered to race two full days of sprint action over 500m and 200m.

Saturday – 500m
Sunday – 200m
There was an addition of a pathways 1000m and 500m races on Sunday Afternoon.

Pathway Races – Sunday
The pathway races on Sunday afternoon will be timed finals. If interested in a pathway 1000m race for junior / open / master men or 500m for open / junior men and women, please email Andrea at qld@paddle.org.au by Thursday 5 pm.

Club K4
Entries will remain open for the club K4 500m on Saturday. A great opportunity for juniors, open and master athletes to get together and paddle for their club. All members of the crew must be from the same club.

State Team Nominations
The Paddle Queensland Canoe Sprint Pathway outlines the State Team Structure, Development Structure and opportunities of being in the Paddle Queensland Canoe Sprint State Team. The pathway is supported with guidelines for performance for juniors to U21. In the future this will include all age groups including masters.

To assist with any questions on the State Team and Queensland pathways, there will be a brief and Q & A session in the lunch break on both Saturday and Sunday.
