On behalf of Paddle Queensland and the Canoe Marathon Technical Committee, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the 2022 Paddle Queensland State Canoe Marathon Championships.
The 2022 State Canoe Marathon Championships will run over the weekend of the 12th and 13th of March at Coomera Lake in preparation for the upcoming National Championships on the 22nd to the 24th of April.
Paddlers from eight to eighty (and beyond) are encouraged to be part of a great weekend of paddling with events ranging from 3.7 km for our Under 10s, to 19 km for our Open and Master 35s. For those new to the Canoe Marathon discipline, non-portage (non-selection) options are available. Regardless of your chosen craft or ability we encourage you to enter and take part in a great weekend of racing.

Sunday morning will see our Under 10, 12s, 14s and 16s paddlers compete in their single events with the Under 18s, 23s, Opens, Masters and Veterans competing in their double events.Saturday morning will start with the first Short Course Canoe Marathon event in Australia, followed by the Standard Course double events for our Under 10, 12s, 14s and 16s paddlers. Our Under 18, 23s, Opens, Masters and Veterans will wrap up day one with their single events.
Sunday afternoon will see the inaugural Club v Club Short Course Championships take place across junior, senior and master classes. The top three teams of each class will accumulate points with the highest placed Club taking out the 2022 Short Course Club Championships.

The 2022 Canoe Marathon State Championships are not possible without the support of our volunteers who generously donate their time and resources to ensure the Championship’s are a great success. If you have not volunteered before, or are seasoned volunteer, please get in touch with the office as your help is be greatly appreciated.
