The inaugural Elanora Escape had 57 participants enter.
Eight (8) juniors tackled the junior dash in beautiful conditions starting and finishing at Murlong Park boat ramp.
Two (2) father son doubles could not be separated at the end taking line honours in a fast time of 15:52.69.
Kai Husband the first junior single across the line. The 10km Elanora Escape started at the 19th Avenue Boat ramp and meandered down Tallebudgera Creek to Murlong Crescent.
Line honours were taken by U17 Riley Scott although a fast-finishing Tom Norton in the opens nearly caught the U17 boys, making an exciting finish.
Competitors of all ages and abilities participated and completed the event successfully.
