On behalf of the Queensland Outrigger and Canoe Club and Paddle Queensland, along with partner clubs Gold Coast Outrigger Canoe Club, and Sandy Straits Outrigger Canoe Club it is my pleasure to welcome you to the 2026 South East Queensland (SEQ) Island Va’a racing series.

The series will encompass and pay homage to journeys travelled by the traditional owners of the waterways paddling between and around island located in South East Queensland starting with Bribie Island (12th Dec), Green Island (9th Jan), Peel Island (6th Feb), Wavebreak and Crab Islands (13th Mar) and finishing with Round Island (11th Apr).

The Peel, Wavebreak and Round Island events will also include the Spirit of Aloha Junior Series.

Paddlers are encouraged to be part of a great day of paddling. Regardless of your chosen craft or ability we encourage you to enter and take part in one or all of the races within the series.
