Epic Kayaks Wave Break Island Challenge

  1. Each paddler must register separately
  2. Each paddler must be at least 15 years old by July 18, 2026
  3. Early Bird Entries close July 12 at 11:59pm
    *Per Person Member Rates: Single Craft: $45 pp. Team Boats: $35 pp.
  4. Standard Entries close July 15 at 11:59pm
    *Per Person Member Rates: Single Craft: $55 pp. Team Boats: $45 pp.
  5. Entries will NOT BE ACCEPTED after entries close or on the day (no exceptions)
  6. *Non-member fees applied at check out
  7. To enter an OC6 crew please email qld@paddle,org.au with the teams details.

Please note when selecting your category, 1.4 – Age Group:
1.4.4 – The last year an athlete can compete in the junior age group is the year of their 18th birthday.

1.4.7 – An athlete can compete in a masters’ event in the year that they reach the lower limit of the age group.
The masters’ age groups are defined by each discipline with a minimum age of 35 years.

MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

By entering you agree to:

  1. You can paddle the course in under 2.0 hours. It is highly recommended that you test paddle the course leading up to the event to ensure you are able to complete the course in the allocated time.
  2. Carry plenty of water/fluids/snacks for the duration of the paddle.
  3. Abide by all rules of the event, directions from the event director and support crews.
  4. Carry a mobile phone.
  5. Wear HIVIS clothing and attach your event number.
  6. All SS-1/2, SLSA-1/2, OC-1/2, SUP, SUP-FOIL and PRONE paddlers MUST wear a AS 4758 Level 50 certified life jacket
  7. OC6s crews MUST carry a AS 4758 Level 50 certified life jacket
  8. All single and at least one paddler of a double craft, MUST have a leash attached at all times when on the water. Leashes are only to be removed when ready to exit onto the beach.
  9. If you are not able to finish the paddle after 2.0 hours, you agree to being marked a DNF and once asked by water safety, return to the closest beach and call your emergency contact to collect you.
