This year’s Maroochy River Paddle was run in reverse, from Eudlo Creek to Dunethin Rock, giving paddlers the benefit of the tide.
Perfect weather and a scenic course made for enjoyable racing, supported by three club safety boats. Some participants also took up the camping option, adding to the community feel.
While a date clash affected dragon boat entries and the Coast Guard’s availability, the event still drew a diverse field.
Caloundra Pacific Rotary provided delicious BBQ burgers, and the weekend received positive feedback, reinforcing the event’s value for the paddling community.
