More than just a race day, the 2026 Paddle Queensland School Marathon Championships brought together students, teachers, coaches and families from across Queensland for a fantastic day of paddling, teamwork and school spirit at the Lake Samsonvale Water Sports Association.
Across six exciting race blocks, students showcased determination, sportsmanship and resilience as they competed over a range of marathon distances in ideal racing conditions. From first-time competitors to experienced paddlers, every athlete contributed to another successful celebration of school paddling in Queensland.
Congratulations to Pacific Lutheran College, who claimed the title of 2026 Paddle Queensland School Marathon Champions after a series of outstanding performances throughout the day. Their depth across multiple age groups and strong team culture saw them finish on top of the overall school standings—a fantastic achievement by every student, coach and supporter involved.
Congratulations also to every school, paddler and relay team who took to the water. The standard of racing continues to grow each year, with close finishes, personal best performances and outstanding displays of encouragement and respect both on and off the water.
